Privacy
This describes the Borr iPhone app and this website. It is written to match what the app actually does, and to match the privacy labels on its App Store listing.
Using Borr without an account
Borr works in full without signing up. If you never make an account, your workouts stay on your iPhone and nothing is sent anywhere. There is no account to make when you first open the app, and skipping it costs you no features.
If you do make an account
An account exists for one reason: so your training can appear on more than one device, and so it survives a lost or replaced phone. If you make one, two things are stored on our server:
- Your email address. It identifies the account and is how we reach you about it.
- Your workout data — the exercises you do, your sets, reps and weights, the dates and times you trained, your rest settings, and any notes you write.
That is the whole list. Signing up does not start a new history: the training you already logged before making the account is kept and comes with you.
What we do with it
We use it to run the app for you — to keep your devices in step, to sign you in, and to contact you about your account if we have to. Nothing else.
What we never do
- No advertising, of any kind, anywhere in the app.
- No analytics. We do not measure how you use the app.
- No third-party trackers or advertising SDKs in the app.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from inside the app. Doing so removes your email address and your stored workouts from our server. The copy on your iPhone is yours; deleting the app removes it from the phone.
How it is kept
Data sent between the app and the server travels encrypted, and is held on servers run by a hosting provider on our behalf. That provider stores the data for us and is not permitted to use it for anything else. Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
This website
If you give us your email address to be told when Borr launches, we use it once, for that. It is handled by Formspree, the service that receives the form. This site carries no advertising and no tracking scripts.
Children
Borr is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly hold data from them.
Changes
If what the app does changes, this page changes with it, and the date below changes too.
Asking us about it
Email support@getborr.com and ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted. See also the support page.
